Dr Filippus E. Sheetekela

Born and raised in Oshakati, Dr Filippus E Sheetekela's medical journey began at North-Western State Medical University in St Petersburg, Russia. This was just the start of a dedicated career in women's health.

After completing his internship in 2014, Dr Sheetekela joined the Windhoek Katutura Hospital complex as a medical officer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He developed a deep passion for the field and obtained a postgraduate diploma in Obstetrics from the College of Medicine of South Africa.

In 2023, Dr Sheetekela completed his specialist training, earning a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MMED O&G) at the University of the Witwatersrand. His training included rotations at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, one of the busiest in the world, providing him with invaluable experience. He is now a fellow of the College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of South Africa.

Dr Sheetekela has a particular interest in Infertility and Maternal and Fetal Medicine. His approach to care is patient-centred, combining the latest medical knowledge with a deep sense of empathy and understanding.

Today, Dr Sheetekela brings his extensive experience and expertise to his private practice at Medipark. He is committed to providing the highest standard of care, ensuring each patient's health and well-being is in the best hands.
